August 15, 2007 Grand Blanc, MI One more day

Tomorrow we pick up the Monty from the dealership, where it has been receiving warranty repairs, and set up at our home park so we can load up for our journey that begins Friday. Friday night will be spent at Wapakoneta, OH and from there to Amish country in southeast Ohio for a few days. We will amble our way over to Gettysburg, arriving around August 26. As you can see, we are in no hurry to get anywhere and will spend enough time at each place to see what we wish to see. Our longest travel day will be at or under four hours. After so many years of hurrying to get someplace, rushing to see all we can see and do all that we can fit in, and then hurrying home to go to work or respond to a client, we are now going to enjoy the journey as much or more than the destination. From Gettysburg, we are heading to southern Virginia and then back to Johnstown, PA. The only fixed dates we have are September 16-23 in Goshen for the Montana owners rally. This will be our last long time trip until just after Christmas when we will try again for Texas and Arizona. The doctor curtailed last year's plans to visit the Great Southwest and, God willing, we will do it this time.
