Kitt Peak Observatory

Today we went to the top of Kitt Peak, which is 6875 feet of elevation at the top. The views were breathtaking. The surrounding desert and mist shrouded mountains were something we have only seen in movies and photographs. The sky was high and blue and the temperature dropped to the mid 50s at the top but there was, surprisingly, no wind and it felt warm and comfortable. As we rose in elevation, Sunny started whining and we believe that she was clearing her head just as we were by yawning. As soon as we reached the top and got out of the truck, she was fine. Once again, she was the center of attention for the people we met at and near the visitor's center.
